The doors are what people touch every day
Perforated doors let air through, so wet sports clothes can dry. Plain doors give a calm wall in a corridor. The lock follows how the room is used: code locks for pupils who should not keep track of keys, key locks for staff, and a hasp for a padlock in sports halls and swimming pools, where users bring their own.
The material follows the water
In cloakrooms and corridors we build in oiled pine or birch plywood. The oil sits in the wood, so a worn spot can be repaired on site instead of sanding the whole surface. Where there is water from the showers, we build in compact laminate, which does not absorb water.
